| Sabbaths Samhain which is Halloween (31st October) is one of the four holidays of Wicca… Samhain is also the Wicca New Year. This is the most sacred of all the festivals for all rituals. It’s time to heal your deepest wounds and look back on what we have inflected on others. Samhain is the time to communicate.Yule which is the Winter Solstice and occurs from December 20th – December 23rd… Yule is a time of renewal and rebirth, time to let go of any fears you may have. These nights are the longest nights and renews us and we rebirth our spirit self and bodies… it’s a time of change.Imbolic which is on the 2nd February, this is also one of the four major holidays of Wiccan. Traditional Wiccans do rituals at this time… celebration of the soon to be return of the Maiden of spring. This is the time of year to recommit to your spiritual growth.Ostara which is the Spring Equinox and occurs from March 20th – March 23rd. Spring Equinox is the first day of spring… this is the time to obtain harmony in your life… a time of new beginnings. This is the time of springs return and a very happy time… light and dark are now equal. This is a very good time to notice how our own souls are balanced and to plant those seeds we see that we are lacking in… look within your heart to see what’s missing.Beltane which occurs on 3oth April… this is also a major holiday of Wicca… a time of celebration. Beltane is a fire festival and is opposite Samhain on the Wheel of the Year. Beltane is the time when both our world and the spiritual world are furthest away where as Samhain is the time when the veil between our world and the spiritual world is at its thinnest.Summer Solstice which is midsummer and occurs from June 20th – June 23rd… this is when the days start to become shorter as the longest day in the year is June 21st. The summer solstice does have a downside to it… things quite often feel mixed up or even reversed. This is the festival of Merrimont and to make wishes… as Mother Earth will now begin her moving away from the sun.Lammas which occurs August 1st… this would be the last of the major holiday for Wicca. A time of celebration of the growing season, the goddess has now been born and we celebrate this… we watch our efforts come to fruition, relax at this time.Autumn Equinox which occurs September 20th – September 23rd… Mabon marks the celebration of a successful harvest. Night and Day are now equal… Mother Earth has moved away from the sun which in turn causes cooler temperatures.Esbats January = Wolf Moon, Old Moon or Moon after Yule… think of others at this time.February = Hungry Moon… month to show your love.March = Crow Moon or Sap Moon… new beginnings, get rid of the old.April = Egg Moon or Grass Moon… time for self confidence and self belief.May = Planting Moon or Milk Moon… time for using your psychic abilities.June = Strawberry Moon or Rose Moon… take a look at what you have achieved so far this year and what your goals are.july = Hay Moon or Thunder Moon… take a nice little walk and smell and pick herbs.August = Green Corn Moon or Grain Moon… this is time for you to understand yourself better.September = Harvest Moon or Fruit Moon… this is an excellent month for connection to spirit and meditations.October = Hunters Moon or Harvest Moon… give thanks this month to Mother Earth and our Goddess’s.November = Snow Moon or Frosty Moon… Mother Earth is at peace as she is now got a blanket of snow over her… give thanks this month also.December = Long Night Moon or Moon before Yule… remember at this time, those less fortunate than yourself.Love Serena xxxxxxxxx _________________ Site Founder/Owner/Admin.
